25 October Variations Of A Story
My version of the story:
It started out like a regular sunny day. Then slowly the skies turned grey. I was on the phone by the window when it started to rain. It was actually more like hailing. And while I was watching through I noticed a few drops of rain leaking into the room. The window has not been shut properly. My sister's suitcase was right under the window and I had to put it away so as not to get wet. It was raining heavily and was becoming a bit windy so shutting the window properly took some effort. I then dried the wet area near the window and put the suitcase back.
A few minutes later, the lights went off.
Mum's version of the story:
First, it was a sand storm, the day started out gloomy, dark and grey. Then it suddenly started to rain. Huge balls of ice fell from the clouds. Rania was standing by the window when she saw the rain pouring into the room. She tried to shut it down, but the wind was blowing too hard that she had to cling to the window so as not to fly away. The room was flooded with water and all her sister s' luggage was soaked. And just before the window would shut, a 10 feet monster flew into the room and we had to chase it out with brooms!! We then used big buckets to remove the water from the room.
A few minutes later, there was a huge bang outside and the lights went off.
Dad's version of the story:
We called in the plumber to work on this plumbing job. He was going to work near the main pipeline down the building. To use his driller, luckily it was a long cable and I connected it to the nearest plug in apartment.
Suddenly the wind blew hard, and it started to hail. The plumber had to stop working for a while. Then when it was all over, he started his driller again.
A few minutes later, the lights went off, the driller paused and we could see the train across the street has stopped as well. We called the main office responsible for power problems in the neighborhood and they said they were currently fixing the problem.
The neighbors' version of the story:
It was a good day; Sunny, warm with a slight chill in the air. Then we heard a plumber working on some plumbing job for the neighbors on the first floor. He was using a huge driller. It was as huge as a chestnut tree.
Suddenly, the driller stopped, we could no longer see the sunny sky, some wind blew hard and balls of ice fell from somewhere all around the building. A few minutes later the lights went off; the whole neighborhood had no power.
We called on the neighbors on the first floor and they admitted it was that driller of theirs. They even said it stopped the train across the street and sent fireballs to the North Pole. They called the power company so they came over to fix the problem.
